And for those who are afraid to have their ear pierced or just simply don’t want pierced ears there are ‘clip-on’ earring available.  These earrings lightly clamp onto the bottom of your ear lobe, they are quite comfortable and there are many styles to choose from.  There are also magnetic earrings which are held in place by two magnetically attracted pieces, one positioned on the front side of your ear lobe, the other on the back.  The most comfortable non-pierced earrings are the screw type earrings.  It actually works like like clip-on’s but offer fine adjustment.

Elearning: A New Way of Imparting Knowledge

With the fast changes bought by the rapid advancement in information technology the traditional method of learning is becoming obsolete.  Gone the days where learning only takes place in the four corners of classroom.  At this era, books and other printed materials are no longer the sole source of information and the black board and chalk is no longer then only tool available for imparting knowledge.

Computers and other communication devices have changed the mode, means and ecology of learning.  The learning nowadays becomes a synergistic activity of billion-globally networked people.  The use of computer, internet and other media in learning is called electronic learning or elearning.  Elearning are usually taught using computer based training (CBT) and online training videos.  Computer based training is a new method of learning new skills it is also an efficient way of preparing for examinations. 

Elearning allows student to learn anywhere at any given time on his/her convenience.  The learning could be CD-ROM based, networks based, intranet-based or internet-based.  Lessons could include text, audio, video, environment simulation or combination of those.  Elearning also allows the student to learn at his or her own pace, and allows the student the flexibility to tailor his own learning base on his learning style, skill level, motivations, disabilities and learning objectives.  The use of elearning can be very productive experience that can surpass the level of training a student might experience in the crowded classroom.

The Healing Power of Video Games

Some people think of video games as an escape to reality.  But for injured soldiers at Walter Reed Army MedicalCenter in Washington, D.C., these video games are providing a return to the real world in the form of physical theraphy.

Wii games like tennis or boxing can help increase range of motion, and patients enjoy them much more than doing ten repetitions of an exercise.  Xbox360 games are also suited for exercising the finger range of motions, and Dance Dance Revolution which helps with balance and sequencing.  Video games have helped to give a sense of normalcy back to the injured soldiers. 

To gauge patients’ improvement, the games are connected to medical equipment, such as clinical biometric machine manufactured by Biometrics Ltd.  The machine measures the wrist strength for skiing games and hand motion (including twisting and turning) for basketball games.  The games can also help patients with basic motor skills and assists in relearning everyday basic tasks, such as writing, throwing a ball and even driving a car. 

As of last year 2008, Walter Reed Army Medical Center has treated more than 6,000 patients using the games as a part of the physical therapy regimen, including more than 500 amputees.  Though the soldiers are all returning to civilian life much different from how they left it, regaining vital physical skills makes the transition much easier.  For individuals without legs and who may have arm injuries, when put in the front of a game controller, they are not thinking about exercise or anything else.  They were just playing and having fun.  So, if you think video games are just nonsense and a waste of time stuffs, you have to think again.

Tips in Deleting Your Friendster Account

       -Optional: Check and select or state the reason why you want to leave Friendster from the selection and options or text field given.

 Step 6:  Check the check box “Yes, I want to cancel my Friendster account” verification.

Step 7:  Click on “proceed” button and your Friendster account will be permanently removed.

Important Reminder:  Do remember that deleting your account is permanent, it is irreversible.  You CANNOT reactivate your Friendster profile one deleted.

I love playing video games.  It is my past-time, my hobby and makes me sane whenever I am bored and I’m depressed.  World of Warcraft or popularly known as WoW is always been my favorite and I think it would always be my favorite.  It is an exhilarating game with interesting characters and equally beautiful graphics and storyline.  According to some surveys WoW is the most played Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) today.    

It is played by millions of online gamer world wide, in all corners of the earth and in all walks of life.  Every time you enter in the World of Warcraft you have to prepare yourself because you are actually entering in the middle of a heated war, a war in which the weak are easily slaughtered by the powerful and strong.  It is a whole new world wherein there is no excuse for being a dumb and slow, a world where newbies are getting sucked by the experts.  It is a tough world in the cyberspace where only the smart and strong survived. 

One of the good things of being in the cyberspace is that when you are dead you can easily be alive again.  It doesn’t matter how many times you blunder or how many times you were slaughtered all you have to do is to try again.  If you hate to keep on trying you may instantly improve you status by doing what other loser have done that is to buy account wow.  It might not be as exciting as playing your way toward the coveted expert status but that is one of the easiest way to kick the butt of the bullies that embarrass your WoW skills.
