Ensure Your Home Security with Hidden Camera

June 20, 2009

Video surveillance camera or what we commonly call the Hidden Camera is becoming popular in homes.  Years ago hidden camera or surveillance are only used by authorities, banks and establishment that requires maximum security.  But nowadays, homeowners are becoming security conscious.  As crime increases, people feel strongly to increase security in their home to protect their property.  Most of homeowners opted to have hidden camera installed in their house.  A hidden camera can be covertly hidden virtually anywhere in ordinary objects such as a clock, a speaker, air freshener, light bulb, and so on.

Here’s how to install surveillance camera/hidden camera:

  1. Decide what room you will be installing the camera and where you will hide it.  The best location to install the camera is in a place where you can covert it with an animate object.
  2. Set the camera’s best angle; make sure to cover the largest part or the room as possible.
  3. Make sure the always have fully charged batteries, if the power supply is not directly connected to a power outlet.
  4. Sync the hidden camera with the base station.
  5. Install any software on your computer that accompanied the hidden camera.
  6. Ensure that the camera is hidden. Either sew up the stuffed animal you used, move a plant in front of the pinhole but move the branches so the camera has a clear view, etc.
  7. Make sure to turn-on the camera before leaving the house.

For indoor applications the pen,gum wrapper, and clocks are the best options, if wanting a good nanny cam the teddy bear is a good option as well. Outside I always recommend the bird house which provides good viewing angles and imaging, while blending well into the environment.

That is really cool, especially considering the size of the camera. I wonder really how good the quality and resolution of the recording turns out to be. Overall though, I would definitely pick myself up one.
