One Way To Get Ticket

August 25, 2009

Whether you’re a sports fan or not, there will some point in your lifetime that you will want to watch one particular sporting event.  That maybe a legendary basketball championship game or a sold-out baseball game, then you will need a Madison Square Garden Tickets that usually sold-out before you’ll ever knew.

I have several experiences regarding sold-out tickets.  Last year when my friend from Philippines wanted badly to watch a Boston Celtics game, he is a die-hard fan of Kevin Garnett, I treated him to Celtics game but alas when I inquire online most of the Boston Celtics tickets are already sold-out.  Luckily, I stumbled on a site that sells almost all of the sports ticket you would want, including the Boston Celtics ticket that I badly needed at that time as well as the Giants Stadium Tickets.

I thought it was difficult and expensive to get a premium sports tickets until I found that site.  It is the safest, easiest and the most convenient way to purchase tickets 24/7.  You will find tickets for virtually every major sporting event and concert on their site.  If you can’t find the tickets you want on their database you can call them they can provide great seats for you to any event, anywhere.

Tips in Effective Public Speaking

August 22, 2009

Many people dreaded speaking in public.  There are people I knew that they prefer to do some grueling tasks rather than speak in public.  Statistically speaking, 47% more people are more afraid of speaking in public than are of dying.  It sounds ridiculous but it is really true that there are people who’d rather die than speak on public.

I guess, everyone had suffered, in some way or the other, anxiety when tasked to talk in public.  Even those savvy celebrity speakers are somehow, experiencing stage freight and tension when they are about to speak in public.  Stage freight and nerves are just normal stuff, because we are humans.  If you don’t felt such emotions, then you take a test if you really belong to Homo sapiens species.

Effective keynote speakers or the inspiring motivational speakers have one thing in common; they have mastered the art of public speaking.  Here are some speaking tips that could help you master the art of public speaking.

1.  Know you strength.  This can be done by understanding your own communication style. Analyze how well you communicate with others.  How well you listen?  How do you convey information?  What about your body language?

2. Be Prepared.  This Boy Scout motto is applicable to anyone at anytime.  Overcome the nervousness and anxiety by being prepares.  Determine in advance what your purpose is for seeking to communicate with another or a group. What outcome do YOU want to have happen?

3. Analyze your audience. This is somewhat similar to “Know your enemy” strategy in a battle.  Know whom you are speaking to - be it one person or many. What is their style of communication, how effectively do they listen? What is their body language telling you about them?

4. Establish eye contact with each of your audience members. Ensure that they are following along with you. Watch for physical reactions both positive and negative. Are they relaxed, casual, intense, upset, angry? With eye contact you can determine if you had delivered the message and it is being received.

5. Be certain that your communication is logical and sequential. Create phrases that help transition and connect your ideas. Lead your audience from one idea to the next. Avoid jumping from one topic to another, this can lead to confusion and disinterest.

6. Involve your audience in the communication process. Effective listening is part of effective communicating. Ask a question, listen and process their answer.

7. Control the flow of the communication.  If someone has overtaken your “turn” to communicate your information, insert yourself back into the control position.

8. Ask follow up questions to ensure clarity.  Make conclusion statements. Monitor their behavioral reaction to your communication. Ask them in your communication with them was valuable.

9. Create a powerful closing to your part in the conversation or presentation.  Wrap it up and ensure that others know that you have finished speaking and have been listening to you.

10.  Practice makes perfect. There’s no technique can beat the constant practice.  Even those well-seasoned and experienced motivational speakers take time to practice.  Gather more info to hone their skills more and more.

Keyless Lock: The Key Is In Your Fingertips

August 14, 2009

Keyless lock or what is commonly called biometric locks is becoming popular among home-owners these days.  One of the main reasons for that is because it utilizes high technologies that could somehow give the home owners the assurance that their properties are safe.  Keyless lock, these are technologies made popular by James Bond and other high tech detective movies.  It uses the finger print identification as the primary locking method.

There are questions being raised regarding the use of this technology. Are they really more secure than the traditional keys and locks?  Would you feel more secure knowing that the only means of opening your locks is, literally, in your fingertips?  Or would you feel more worried because someone might chop off your finger to gain entry to your home?

Based on my experience, biometric operated locks is more efficient than the traditional padlocks and keys.  It would be a great solution for those who always misplace their keys because you would never misplace your finger, isn’t it?  Keyless lock would also benefit a lot, especially to those who have children who keep losing their keys and adults who already had memory gaps, instead of giving them a house key they would just use their fingertips to gain entry to your home.

Another thing is, keyless lock cannot be copied nor duplicated, unlike the traditional padlock and key which can be easily duplicated.  There are many shops that offer key duplication just for a few dollars.  One of the best features of keyless locks is that they can be programmed to allow and disallow access during specific time.  And lastly, keys can be easily stolen but I haven’t heard a stolen fingerprint, yet.

Getting Math Help

August 10, 2009

To most student Math is always been the most troublesome.  There’s nothing to worry my niece most, who about to be K-12 this school year, that her Mathematics subject.  Last school she barely got B- in her Math, and most of her subject were A’s.   She decided to get some Math help, which I positively agree.   Personally, I love to crunch numbers.  When I was in college Math is one of my favorite subjects.  I want to give my niece some free math help but my hectic schedule would not allow it.

So, we decided to find online math tutoring.  I was really amazed with the result when I type the keyword online math help.  There are literally thousands of results.  We tried to surf on those sites that I found interesting.  Some of them are offering interesting packages and even other sites are offering free online math tutoring.  There are so many options, covering a wide expanse of topic which some of them are alien to me.

One of the best sites that we visit is the TutorVista, they had incredible offer of unlimited monthly tutorial package on a very low price which does not only cover Math but all of the subjects in K-12 and other levels including college. The best thing that I really like about it is online Math tutor that is available 24/7.  Meaning you can access the tutorial services anytime and whenever you needed it.  It seems like you can bring your professor with you at home.
