Long, long time ago a great wealth was discovered buried beneath the earth surface.  Our ancestors had learned long time ago that you could acquire so much wealth by digging the earth to find gold.  Even in the early civilization of humanity, gold is considered as the most valuable metal.  Gold symbolizes wealth and prosperity.
