According to the ancient belief of Mayans, the world will come to an end on December 21, 2012. The Mayan civilization is known for advanced writing, mathematics and astronomy. On the Mayan Long Count Calendar in the year 2012 there are disastrous or transformative event that will occur. As a part of this mysterious prophecy, on winter solstice in 2012, the sun will be aligned with the center of the Milky Way for the first time in about 26,000 years.
The story of 2012 movie revolves around this phenomenon. With the help of computer animation the 2012 movie will depict how the world would end. Lately, I had watch 2012 movie trailers, it was pretty cool. The trailer showed a tsunami surging and destroying the Himalayas, interlacing a message that suggests that the world will end on 2012.
Whether the 2012 issue is true or not, only one thing is clear. The 2012 movie had created a stir, it makes movie goers more curious of what the movie could offer. Personally, I would love to watch the movie preferably on the movie theater where I could enjoy the large screen and the surround sound system, but if the schedule would permit it I will be happy to watch 2012 online. It would be like watching the world end at the comfort of my bedroom.
