Four Smart Ways to Decorate a Small Kitchen

  Your living could be the face of your home but your kitchen is the heart and the stomach of your home.  Whether you whip up a great meal, where you sit together to tell stories about your day or just you grab a quick snack before you head out somewhere is kitchen the place to be.  Regardless of glamorous or how simple are the kitchen appliances, families spend considerable amount of time in the kitchen.  So, here are some ideas to make you kitchen a pleasant space to hang-out with your family.

1. Open it up: Open the windows in your kitchen.  If it is not possible, install open shelves and only few overhead cabinets.

2. Have different storage spaces:  Mix-up all your kitchen equipment in one storage place.  Place your commonly used china, dinnerware, and flatware in one place easily accessible to you.  While the rarely used kitchen appliances should go into different storage area.  Store pots and pans in cabinets or under an island.  Blenders, food processors and other small kitchen appliances are best stored in overhead cabinets.

3. Use proper lightning:  A well-lighted kitchen will appear larger than its actual size.  Kitchens are best lit with fluorescent bulb because of its linear form.

4. Get appliances in the right size:  It is because you have a small kitchen you will buy a small refrigerator. Wrong! Even though your kitchen is small, don’t go for smaller appliances. Likewise, a large kitchen sink is more convenient and practical than the small one in the long run.

iCarly Pageant and Hannah Montana Getting Out of House

I spent most of Holidays hanging-out with my nieces, as a result I was hooked with the TV shows they loved watching.  We spent most of our idle time watching the repeats of iCarly, Hannah Montana and Glee online.  I never thought I would enjoy teenage themed TV shows but surprisingly, I enjoyed the show.  Most of the episodes were fun and hilarious; I just can’t help but chuckle with the funny antics and punch lines.

Hannah Montana and iCarly resumes with the new episodes this January after the long holiday break, and like all teen and tweens I’m excited with the new episodes of these two TV shows.  Unfortunately, Glee is not returning this January because, according to my niece, is on the mid-season break (whatever it is).

This coming Saturday, January 9 iCarly will be airing a new episode.  The iCarly Season 3 Episode 9: iWas A Pageant Girl on Nickelodeon at 8:30PM ET/PT.  iCarly iWas A Pageant Girl episode is all about Sam revealing that she competed on beauty pageant when she was a young girl.  Now, the Sam’s long-time rival will be coming to Seattle to compete for her 100th win, she urges Carly to join in the pageant.  

Sam wanted to join in the pageant but she was banned from joining years ago.  But then, while coaching Carly in the show, Sam learns that her ban has been lifted.  Upon learning, Sam steps on her tap shoes and amaze the judges with an awesome routine which is a throwback to classic dance numbers seen only in movies years ago.

On the other hand, Hannah Montana will be airing a brand new episode on Sunday, January 10 on Disney Channel.  On Hannah Montana Season 3 Episode 28: Got To Get Her Out Of My House episode, Miley feels guilty for accidentally getting Lilly fired from her job. When Miley convinces Lilly to become their housekeeper, her cleaning techniques drive the Stewarts up the wall, so Miley and Jackson devise a plan to get Lilly her old job back.

Blackjack? It’s All About Counting Numbers

After a long period of online and offline practice I finally mastered the art and science of poker.  Well, I guess, Facebook and online simulation games helps a lot in my poker “education.”  Now that I can finally beat some of my friends in poker table I want to widen my knowledge in card games.  This time I want to learn the blackjack.  Many of the people that I ask about that card game say it much easier than poker and with lesser rules.  Blackjack according to them is all about counting numbers.

For a newbie like me, the best way to learn the “art and science” of blackjack is through online simulation.  There so many sites that offer online blackjack games that could be played for free, no actual bets required it just for fun.  But of course there are also that offers online blackjack that requires bets.  Nowadays, online blackjack games and tournaments are becoming popular amongst online casino players just like poker tournaments.  

If haven’t played online blackjack before you might be surprise of how serious the game is.  Online blackjack games involve real money.  But if haven’t mastered blackjack yet, try to learn the easy way by not betting onto those big-moneyed games yet.  And always remember do not bet anything that you cannot afford to lose.  In playing any kind of game, there is no guarantee of winning.  There is always a strong probability that you might lose, and the probability of win-loss is not even 50-50.

Be smart, play wisely.
