Best Snuggle Movie for Valentine’s Day

February 15, 2010

Happy day of hearts everyone! This post is about a day late, but, well, I was busy yesterday with all the hassles and pressure of Valentine’s Day.  Boyfriend and I did not go out for a date, we just spent time together watching movie at home, eat pizza and you know what else (wink).

Oh, well without more spilling the romantic beans, here are my top 5 favorite romantic movie that I love to watch while snuggling to another warm body (wink again).

5.  Ghost – this is a classic love story which stars hunky Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore.  It tells the story of undying love.  The film is known for one of the most interesting love scenes on film starring messy clay as well as its theme song “Unchained Melody.”

4.  The Notebook- this movie is the film adaptation of the bestselling novel of the same title written by Nicholas Sparks.  . It’s a story of star-crossed lovers (Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling; Gena Rowlands and James Garner) who capture the heartbreak and beauty of enduring love, and it’s pretty hot to boot. Both men and women swoon at the sight of Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams kissing.  This coming April another Nicholas Sparks work will be out in theater it is called the The Last Song.  It stars Miley Cyrus and Liam Hensworth.

3.  StarStruck – Starstruck is actually a movie made for TV.  It is a Disney Channel Original Movie for teens and tweens.  It tells the story of Hollywood biggest teen pop star sensation Christopher Wilde and Jessica Olson, a down-to-earth girl from the Midwest meet in a chance accident. They wind up on a love-struck adventure in Southern California, but their bond is tested when she returns home and he publicly denies their relationship.  Well, my niece and my teen cousins swore that this is the best love story. EVER!

2. My Big Fat Greek Wedding – If not for Ashton Kutcher, this movie will be my top 1 romantic movie.  The movie is centered on Fotoula “Toula” Portokalos, a middle class Greek-American woman (Nia Vardalos, who also wrote the script), who falls in love with a non-Greek upper middle class WASP fellow, Ian Miller.  It is sweet, romantic and funny.  No wonder it become a sleeper hit, the film grossed $241.4 million in North America alone.

1.  Valentine’s Day- this is the latest romantic feel good movie.  It has “Love Actually” kind of theme, but in my opinion it is much better and more romantic and more hilarious than “Love Actually.”  It also stars big Hollywood names like ulia Roberts, Jessica Alba, Jamie Foxx, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Garner, Kathy Bates, Patrick Dempsey, Hector Elizondo, Jessica Biel, Topher Grace, Queen Latifah, Eric Dane, Carter Jenkins, George Lopez, Shirley MacLaine, Bradley Cooper, Brooklynn Proulx, Bryce Robinson, Emma Roberts, Taylor Swift,Taylor Lautner and love of my life (next to my boyfriend) Ashton Kutcher .  We actually watch Valentine’s Day online last night.
